2 day drive with a toddler

well, i have been a bad blogger, so i don't even know where to start!
vacation began June 25, as we drove from Orlando to Huntsville, Alabama ~ an 11 hour drive. Levi was surprisingly well-behaved, which is great for us, but doesnt make for good stories. We stopped twice  along the way, for food and to fill up. Best conversation of the day? Levi: "momma, i play blocks?" me: "no baby, your blocks are at home." L: "momma go get um?" me: "no, i'm sorry" L: "MOMMA GO GET UM!!" Me: "no"... etc.
the next day we took a day off to relax with my aunt & uncle, and we all had a wonderful time. I am SO glad we're able to do that! Levi got to swim in the Tennessee River, but more exciting than that, he got to swim with the dog :)
On Monday we had breakfast and Levi insisted that he not eat his eggs, and just to make sure that I wouldn't change my mind, I had to "throw it in trash" Nothing like manners from a 2 year old! We grabbed him a peach, and hit the road. Once we were awhile into the trip, he was adamant about being finished with his peach, so I threw it out the window. A half hour later, he asked me to go get it for him. Once he realized that wasn't going to happen, he asked for his eggs! This day was a 12 hour drive, and we were hardcore about it, and only stopped once... pretty unbelievable. When we finally got to Nate's parents, Levi just wanted to run around for awhile, which was perfect because there was a kitty to chase, and he needed to do something to stay warm!
We have about 2 weeks left, and our next drive will include the beloved aunt charity, who hopefully has no intentions of sleeping while she rides, since I'm pretty sure Levi will not allow much of that!
Levi has learned to argue now, except not quite, because everything from the yes side is "yes you are" for example: L "OH crash!!" Me: "no we didnt crash" L: "yes, you are!" or my favorite, about his pizza. L: "too hot" me: "no, its just warm" L:"wewy hot!" Me: "no its not just eat it" L: "yes., you are! hot! Momma!"
I think we are all having tons of fun, but missing home a bit. As the little one says, "mommy, no want hugs, go home" when he's so tired.
